TCCI improves the lives of children by helping families become financially self-sufficient and by helping them to provide a more supportive, nurturing environment for their children.

Family Support services target both troubled families and healthy ones, and are provided through the Rita Walters Learning Complex for Family and Community Development, the Family Development Network and Black Infant Health.

These services include case-managed counseling, employment support, information and referrals, social services, sports and recreation, and adult education workshops, including parenting and ESL classes.
