THE RITA D. WALTERS LEARNING COMPLEX
CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER

The Child Development Center, operated by The Children's Collective, Inc., provides child care and family support services for students enrolled at the Youth Opportunities Unlimited Alternative High School and their children, as well as for community residents. Sixty children from infancy through age eight are enrolled in full-day age-appropriate child care services, designed to enhance the development of each child. Therapeutic servies are also available for children with special needs.

For parents, The Child Development Center offers workshops and referrals to mentor them in providing a nurturing environment for their children. Parents may also take part in case management to assist them in utilizing needed social services for their families. The Child Development Center provides holistic acare of both parents and children through integrated health services, including on-site medical, dental, and mental health services.
