The High School, operated by the Los Angeles Unified School District, is an alternative program designed to recover dropouts and provide educational and support services to help students graduate and develop skills for success in the workplace. Enrollment for the 250 students is voluntary. In addition to academic coursework towards a high school diploma, students participate in programs for drug and alcohol prevention, teen pregnancy prevention, responsible parenting, economic literacy, and computer literacy.
