How are you involved with TCCI?

Patricia’s journey with us has been nothing short of inspiring! Over the past months, she’s been taking full advantage of our youth services—receiving food, school supplies, and the support she needs to thrive. This summer, she dove right into our Summer Program, showing up to every lesson with energy, curiosity, and a big smile. Her enthusiasm didn’t stop in the classroom—Patricia was also one of the lucky students who joined us for our unforgettable field trip to Catalina Island, where learning and adventure came together in the best way possible!

How long have you been a TCCI client?

Since May 2021, TCCI has had the joy of walking alongside Patricia Williams and her family, providing youth services, food, and school supplies while building a relationship rooted in trust and care. Over time, they’ve become a cherished part of our community—never hesitating to reach out and let us know how we can best support them. This summer was a special highlight. Patricia joined our Summer Program, bringing boundless enthusiasm to every lesson. Her curiosity and participation stood out, and when it came time for our Catalina Island field trip, she was right there—ready for adventure. From classroom learning to exploring the beauty of the island, Patricia’s journey is a shining example of how connection, opportunity, and community support can help a young person thrive.

In what ways has TCCI changed your life?

Patricia’s time with TCCI has been full of growth, connection, and memorable experiences—but she says it best herself:

“The Children’s Collective has changed my life in some really good ways, like when I first got here they had really good food—better than what they serve at school! I have also enjoyed the people I’ve met along the way.”

Her words capture the warmth of our programs: a place where young people feel supported, valued, and connected—not just through services, but through relationships that last.

What else makes them so spectacular?

It’s always a joy to have Patricia involved in our youth services. Her upbeat personality lights up  the room, and she has a natural way of connecting and communicating with her peers. Whether we’re diving into fun activities or tackling complex topics, Patricia consistently shows an impressive level of intelligence and curiosity. Beyond her academic strengths, she demonstrates strong moral values—leading by example and inspiring those around her.
